Born in New York City (in Manhattan), Jaye began her musical journey playing cello in her school concert band but her true desire was to play drums. The opportunity to play drums did not materialize and so she turned to acoustic guitar and keyboards. Neither satisfied her and so she left music behind, but never lost interest in playing music. Years later, when her teen-aged daughter requested a drum kit, Jaye finally had her dream within reach. A career began taking shape when Jaye started taking lessons from Eric Jansen, drum instructor at the Denver Music Institute and currently the drummer for Mindzai. She has played with numerous Denver Area bands playing rock, pop, metal and blues. In the spring of 2004, she met Jerry and founded Whirlitzer 45s.
